About

Tom and Martin came to arboriculture from different paths; Martin has a passion for working with wood - creating sculptures, furniture, axe handles and toys for his son - while Tom is more interested in the role of trees as habitats for wildlife.

Martin has worked with trees full- time for over a decade, for local estates, private individuals, National Trust and Woodland Trust. He draws upon his extended training (rigging, MEWP) and experience to deal with trees safely, even in challenging situations. He prioritises good communication with his team and clients to make the experience safe and enjoyable. Martin’s knowledge of processing and drying firewood and planks will give a useful perspective to a client who wishes to make good use of their branches or trees.

Tom has a decade of experience working in nature conservation for organisations like RSPB, National Trust, Field Studies Council and Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust. His extensive experience of woodland management means he can provide valuable advice on the best ways to help wildlife, whether you have a forest or just a tree.

Martin and Tom are both fully-qualified, insured and work in accordance with current safety and best practice guidance (BS3998:2010, EU Tree Pruning Guide).
